who we are

We are stewards of the land. Kathleen has made it her life’s work to protect the forests, communities and natural resources as a Wildland Firefighter. Brenda has a belief that we can put an end to food insecurity. Together, we believe that we can fulfill our passions by respecting and fostering the health of the land, the animals we care for and the people who eat our food.  Our livestock are raised using high-welfare, low-stress practices.  We utilize a pasture-based, rotational grazing system for our animals, starting with the goats, browsing, to pave the way for the heritage breed pigs. Pigs are rooters, by nature, and our pigs turn soils, move debris and fertilize to naturally fortify the soil.

We also love great food which builds an even better community.  Food fosters conversations and builds relationships. We strive to raise animals that have the highest quality of life and in turn, produce meat that is flavorful and healthy. Join us in our journey!
